Our vineyards
Exceptional location and natural features, particularly those of the southeast slopes of Fruška Gora, have been known and used for ages. Even the Roman emperor M. A. Probus, according to the historical sources, planted the first vineyards in III century AD exactly on the southeastern slopes of Fruška Gora, in the area of former Sirmium. The Slavs brought with them and continued the cultivation of vine, and the continuity of its cultivation was largely supported by the Serbian medieval monasteries whose metochions were the backbone of cultivation and continuity of viticulture, winemaking and wine production.
The love of wine and the unspoiled nature of Fruška Gora made us apply our work habits and experience gained in the production of top quality apples to viticulture. Located on the sunny, south slopes of Fruška Gora, at the height of 250 meters above sea level, the vineyards of the winery Deurić are the basis for the production of the best quality wine in one of the best known vineyards of Serbia.
The area of 13.5 ha is used for cultivating white grape varieties Rhein Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and red varieties Probus, Merlot, Pinot Noir. The exceptional weather conditions, good soil, certified planting material, along with the careful cultivation, growing and yield control and the professional consultations provided by the world-renowned wine experts, guarantee the high quality of grapes, because the rule we follow is that the winemaking begins in the vineyard.
