DECOSTA is a winter sort, red in color and strong in intensity, juicy, mildly sour with a very pleasant aroma.
Clone: DECOSTA
Origin: crossing of golden delicious and Jonatan in 1943
Fruit characteristics: one of the most quality winter apple sorts. The fruit is large to very large, properly shaped. These two clones present the first traces of color in August, during the picking this color is red, strong in intensity, and is present at 100% of the fruit’s skin. This blush appears very homogenous and attractive.
Taste: fruit meat is moderately solid and fine in texture, juicy, sweet, mildly sour and with very pleasant aroma.
Picking time: mid-September
